High School Musical Ice Tour....
Brian and I and Brad and Karri took our kids to High School Musical Ice Tour on Saturday in Salt Lake. We were so excited, we got the tickets along time ago and decided to surprise our kids. So at the begining of the week I told my kids that we had a surprise for them so they better be good (dont you love how sometimes we have to bribe for good behavior) So of course Brooklyn asks me like twenty questions a day about what the surprise is. So on Friday I tell them that we are going to Utah but I wouldnt tell them why. Saturday comes and we get ready to hit the road. Karri and I stopped at Walmart first and picked up these cute High School Musical shirts for the girls. And off we go. We get to Salt Lake and check- in at the hotel and hang out for a bit. Karri and I decide to give the girls their shirts but still not say anything so we told them that we found these way cute shirts that were on sale and wanted them to wear them. It was funny because they really didnt say much about them. So we go to the Gateway Mall to meet my brother for dinner before we go and there are all these little girls wearing High School musical shirts and hats and stuff. Our girls are wondering what is going on( I think the older ones may have a clue) but we tell them that its High School Musical Day. When we were in one store a lady asked Hailee if they were going to the High School Musical on Ice and she looked at her funny and said "Um I dont know" Karri and I were laughing. We ate dinner and then walked to the Arena and when they got inside and saw all the stuff they got so excited. I think I was more excited than they were it was Awesome and we all had a great time! Enjoy the slideshow, some of the picture came out blurring, but my girls wanted to use them anyways.
LOOK WHO TURNED THREE......
Ty's birthday was on Friday and we had a party for him with the family. He was so excited all day he kept singing happy birthday to himself it was so cute. We made taco's, spanish rice, and tator tots for everyone then he opened his presents. He was so excited about each present he didn't know what to do with himself.
After he opened his presents we had cake and ice cream. He has been loving the show " CARS" lately so we got him a "CARS" cake. He absolutely loved it, he had to show everyone as soon as they came over!
He had a great day and was exhausted by bed time. I can't believe he is three! Time goes by so fast.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes!I definetely got all I wished for. I had a wonderful day, It started off with Brian and the kids waking me up singing Happy Birthday and then the kids gave me a gift from them (Brian took them to the store the night before while I was at young womens) I was so surprised and to see them so excited was priceless! Brian took me to lunch and we just chilled for the rest of the day it was wonderful! On Friday, Brian had told me that he had made reservations to one of my favorite restaurants at 7:00 so I was way excited about that. At about 5:30 my friend SueAnn called and asked if I wanted to go look at some furniture that she saw so she came and got me and we went to a couple furniture stores and then she took me home. When I got to the door it was locked so I rang the door bell and Brian answered. When I got in the house he had made a candle light dinner with candles and music playing, I was so surprised. While I was gone with SueAnn (which he arranged) he cooked steaks, teriyaki vegetables, salad, and shrimp. He even had dessert!! It was so romantic. He arranged for the kids to go to his parents house for the whole evening. So we ate and talked and danced. I cant remember the last time we danced, but it was awesome. Then we watched a movie. It was the best birthday present! It was just what I needed, a relaxing, romantic night with the hubby. Priceless!!

Family Halloween Party.......

Every Halloween it's tradition that our family has a party. We eat soup in bread bowls and the kids play games. The funnest part is seeing what costumes each family will come in. I decided that Brian and I would be Raggedy Ann and Andy, the girls would be rag dolls and Ty would be a teddy bear. I made mine and Brian's costumes and then bought the rest. I thought they turned out cute, even our wigs I made which was very time consuming! I have a trooper of a husband to dress in some of the stuff we have dressed in. :) The kids had alot of fun playing the cake walk game and the fishing pond. My dad also had a spook alley in our big shed that use to hold farm equipment. The 3 older girl cousins thought they were brave enough to go through and it didn't turn out so good, they were scared to death!! I actually was a little scared. But, we had a great time.

Halloween Fun....

I love this time of year cooler weather, changing colors, pumpkin candle burning, fall decorations and most of all HALLOWEEN!! I come from a family that just loves halloween and we have been busy with all the halloween fun.

Monday night we were invited to a family halloween party with some friends. We ate chilli, bobbed for apples, made some cute crafts, and had a pinata. It was really fun and our kids had a blast. Of course I forgot my camera.

Tuesday night we had Brian's family over and ate pizza and carved pumpkins. McKenzee couldn't be there because she had dance but, Brooklyn and Ty had fun. They dug right in and got all the guts out .(as Brooklyn would put it)

They made some really cute faces on them, Ty liked to use the poky thing that came with the pumpkin carving kit that we got. Brooklyn wanted me to help her with a scary guy face that we found in the book it turned out pretty cool!

Wednesday night Brian and McKenzee had Pumpkins with Papa for achievement days. So McKenzee didn't feel to bad that she missed our pumpkin carving. Brian said they had tons of fun and he was so glad that he got to spend some quality time with McKenzee. They ate sloppy joes, played the cake walk game but with candy bars, they decorated a sugar cookie, and then they decorated their pumpkins. Mckenzee's pumpkin turned out really cute.

Friday night is our annual Witche's Night out so I am excited about that. I have been busy getting prizes and things ready so stay tuned for some pictures of that and also our Sakota Family halloween party is on Saturday. I have been sewing our costumes and boy are they a hoot!

busy weekened.......
I can't believe another weekend has come and gone, it seems like they go by so fast. We had a great weekend filled with lots of fun. Brian has fridays off which is so great we get to spend the day together doing whatever. It is so great. I am on the PTO board at our school and I am in charge of teacher appreciation. I do something for them once a month and so on friday I took different kinds of breads (oatmeal, banana, pumpkin, and poppy seed muffins) and juice. I found cute halloween plates and cups at the dollar store and decorated the table. I also made a cute sign that said, For never "loafing" on the job and no matter how you "slice" it you are terrific teachers. I wish I would have taken a picture but I totally forgot.

On saturday Brooklyn had a soccer game and then Karri and I took our kids to the harvest fest at freeman park.

Our kids thought it was great and it was something fun to do. They had some fun games for them, good food, live entertainment which was good, and they loved the face painting. And again I didnt take my camera. Later that night I went to Thriller with one of my friends. It was awesome!

It was very entertaining and the dancers were amazing. I had never heard of it but, my friend said she saw it in Utah and thought it was awesome. It was way cool.

Then today it was my turn to teach, the lesson was on Hold fast to the Lord's standards. I wanted to do something a little different since I teach the Laurels and they hear what the lesson was about so much (which is so needed) that I wanted to put a little fun into it so we played Jeopardy and all the questions came out of For the Strength of Youth. It turned out to be a great lesson.

Why is she blogging?

Your all probably wondering why I even started a blog, right? I am actually wondering myself. It has almost been a month since my last post. I have been so busy, with what you ask? I am not quite sure but boy have I felt like I have been just running around. For the last 2 weeks I have been a little stressed about a lesson that I taught on Sunday. I am the Laurel Advisor in Young Womens and the lesson was on the Sacred Power of Procreation. Let's just say I was really nervous and what a tough subject to talk about. It actually went alot better than I thought. I gave each of the girls a ring pop that symbolized marriage and then I read a talk by Boyd K. Packer he words thing so perfect and it really touched the girls. The ring pop kept them quiet and I had their full attention. Later that night we had a Stake youth fireside and our Stake President talked about the same thing and he read the exact talk that I did, I couldnt believe it. So now that that lesson is over I'm hoping to be a better blogger but, I can't promise anything :) But, stay tune for a post about how my husband and I met. My sister Karri's post about how her and Brad met inspired me. Thanks sis!

IT'S OFFICIAL.....

It's official I have really entered the blogging world. But please bear with me while I learn the ins and outs of this new adventure. It might take some time...as you can see I started working on this in November of 2006 almost a year ago!! I am so not computer literate. With my blog I hope to keep in touch with my family and friends, make new friends and use it as my own little journal to remember all the cute things my kids say, the fun we have together as a family, and just my great life as a mom and wife. What really pushed me to finally go with it was that I was reading a blog and it said that she found that you could get your blog printed into a book? How cool would that be? Anyways, I hope you all enjoy.
