I've been tagged.......

The tag- go to your fourth picture folder and post the fourth picture in that folder.....tell the story.

This is Ty and Makiya (Ty calls her KeeKee) at Pam (Brians sister) and Nick's wedding reception. KeeKee is Nick's little girl and she is adorable. She calls Ty- tyty, it's so funny. These two are the best of buds. At the reception when you would ask to take their picture together they would hold hands and give these cute little smiles. So CUTE!!

I tag Tricia, Karri, Shelley and Lisa P

COSTUMES, COSTUMES, AND MORE COSTUMES.......

Over on Tip Junkie's blog the topic is family themed and couple halloween costumes, that got me thinking how fun it would be to do a post of the past years costumes that are family has done.

So it's no question that I love Halloween and I come from a family who loves it also. Every year my parents have a Halloween Party at their house and the whole family comes. Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and yes even my gradparents. We have soup and bread bowls, play games and my dad does a spook alley in our big shed that our farm equipment used to be in. I will admit I do get a little scared going through it, but the funnest part of the night is seeing what everyone dresses up like. We have had some great costumes.

Last year.....(2007)
I made mine and Brians costume and added hair to the girls's hats.
2006
These were the funnest costumes to make, it took some time but it was worth it. I made Brian, mine and Kenzee's.
2005
I also made mine and Brian's. These were alot easier than I thought.
2004
p.s. I was 7 months pregnant
D.I. was an awesome place for granny and grampy's attire!!!

2000 - This was the first year that Brian and I dressed up and it was a last minute thing. We just used stuff we had around.

Just FYI....

I found this information on a blog and thought I would pass it along. I didn't know about this until I saw it on her blog.

Cell phone numbers go public tomorrow! REMINDER....all cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies tomorrow and you will start to receive sale calls. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS. To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 1-888-382-1222. It is the National DO NOT CALL List. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years. You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number..... HELP OTHERS BY PASSING THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS. It takes about 20 seconds. Please pass around the information.

FALL......

I love, love, love this time of year. I love the colors, the smells, and the crispness in the air. Today I finally found the time to put up some decorations and here are a few of my favorite:

This harvest plaque I got from a good friend and it sits on my mantel.

This iron pumpkin is one of my favorites. I got it from Roberts a few years ago and I just love it. It sits on my entry way table and I get lots of compliments on it.

This wreath I made and I think it turned out really pretty. I love the way it looks on my black front door. The colors just pop out.

This decoration I whipped up today. It started with a white bowl and plate from the dollar store, little plain wire pumpkin, and sprig of berries and beads.

I wish I would of taken a picture of the plate and bowl before I spray painted them, but hopefully you can get the idea. I found this idea on the internet. You take a bowl and plate (i bought mine at the dollar store and I spray painted mine because they didn't have black) put the bowl upside down, put a little hot glue on it and place the plate on top. Walla!! You have yourself a cute stand for only two dollars. I have seen them used as cake stands, cupcakes, or whatever. The dollar store has all sorts of colors so the possibilities are endless.

Happy Fall Ya'll!!!!

"Find Joy in the Journey"

While watching conference and listening to President Monson's talk this morning, "find joy in the journey" it really got me thinking about my children and how I should find more joy with them and cherish every day because one day they will be grown and out of our house and on their own. I loved his talk so much and I also loved the quote he said several times "find joy in the journey" that I decided to change my blog name from "enjoy the journey" to "find joy in the journey". For some reason when Preident Monson said that I just loved it and could not get it out of my head and now every time I blog it will remind me of what he said. He also said "Do not let those precious moments pass you by". I thought about how my three children are growing up so fast and I want to remember all those precious things they do and say. So I decided I needed to start blogging again and recording those precious moments. So here I am almost one year later after my last post.....

If you haven't had a chance to listen to his talk you should it is so great! I love general conference and the feeling you get when you listen to the leaders of the church. I enjoyed listening to all the talks and have such a desire to be better, to do more, and try harder. I also loved listening to the choirs sing. I was filled with such joy listening to the primary children sing during the saturday session. Ty and his friend Talia were downstairs playing and when they heard the primary songs I heard them say this is our song and they came running up stairs and sat on the couch and sang the songs. My eyes filled with tears and I had a big smile on my face and goose bumps all over my body. It was such a precious moment to hear these three year olds singing as loud and reverent as they could just like they do in primary.
Precious moment......
